ENGINEER/SCIENTIST/ITSPECIALIST (SYSANALYSIS) with Security Clearance
This position requires collaboration with PEO C4I and assumes responsibility for the comprehensive planning, coordination, and management of systems engineering endeavors to ensure the delivery of a fully integrated and rigorously tested capability. Responsibilities include: Providing expert technical direction, oversight, and guidance to the Program Office, overseeing the effective implementation of all systems engineering products and processes. Serving as the foundation for providing insightful engineering recommendations and guidance that ultimately inform acquisition decisions and facilitate the timely delivery of critical capabilities to the Warfighter. Proactively identifying and assessing potential technical risks and issues, concurrently developing and implementing effective engineering-driven mitigation strategies. Developing and administering a robust engineering change process, encompassing associated configuration management procedures, while concurrently providing expert recommendations on optimal design approaches. Ensuring the effective implementation of authoritative Technical Authority engineering policies, guidance, standards, architectures, and processes. Applying MBSE principles and practices to develop and maintain digital models of Battle Space Awareness and Information Operations systems, and leveraging these models to analyze system performance. Requirements include: Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. Qualifications: At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band DP-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Demonstrating experience and knowledge of battlespace awareness and information operations systems and/or intelligence, targeting, and command and control systems. Providing engineering recommendations, guidance leading to acquisition decisions, and delivering capability to the Warfighter for these areas. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a combination of education and experience that furnished a thorough knowledge of the physical and mathematical sciences underlying engineering.
