role at
Department Of Navy You will execute Navy cyber defense architectures, processes, standards, and specifications across the PEO and Program Offices. You will be responsible for the codification and certification requirements of cyber positions and workforce supporting PEO C4I (to include contractor support) and oversight of cyber mandatory continuous training. You will be knowledgeable of DoD, Navy, and NAVWAR architectures, policies, and standards for assuring information and managing risks and coordinate the implementation of these for Navy platforms ashore, afloat, and aloft. You will participate in cross-SYSCOM IPTs that address mutual concerns of IA, cyber security and Cybersecurity Technical Authority, and will liaison with cyber stakeholders (e.g., Commander Fleet Forces Command (FFC). You will work across NAVWAR 5.0, the PEOs, and numerous external organizations, the incumbent will be required to regularly develop and present briefs to senior Navy personnel on the implementation and execution of cybersecurity initiatives. Requirements: Must be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service. You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes. You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band DP-03 in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Integrating cybersecurity and systems engineering to include systems engineering and cybersecurity processes; leading engineering analysis, review and validate object quality evidence, and/or support cybersecurity risk assessments and authorizations. Education: Degree: Engineering. To be acceptable, the program must: (1) lead to a bachelor's degree in a school of engineering with at least one program accredited by ABET; or (2) include differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics.
