Overview
Industry Tech Consultant - F&B at Nalco Water, An Ecolab Company. The Industry Technical Consultant (ITC) leads efforts to develop, deploy, and optimize process chemical applications and digital technologies in the food, beverage, and dairy industry segments. The ITC provides sales and service support on a technical advisory level to the sales force to grow and maintain Nalco Water and Ecolab F&B sales for the company’s largest customers in the food, beverage, and dairy industries. The ITC collaborates with Sales, Research, and Marketing to create, develop, and evaluate innovative new programs and services that provide value to customers in refining operations. What You Will Do
Sales Support: provide strong technical support in the sales process to help grow and optimize customer operations using Ecolab chemical and digital technologies. Target Account Development: audit and assess customer operations with local sales engineers and regional technical support to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce total cost, maximize productivity, and improve finished product quality. In-Plant Technical Trials: develop detailed trial plans, define success criteria, establish KPIs and data requirements, support plant trials, analyze data, and make recommendations post-trial. Service Support: assist with optimization and troubleshooting of Ecolab technologies across a diverse portfolio of large global customers; identify and develop TCO opportunities; support monthly and quarterly customer reviews; lead technical and innovation exchange sessions. Innovation: collaborate with Marketing and R&D to identify customer needs, evaluate opportunities, participate in commercialization, and lead internal training for Sales personnel and customer-facing sessions. Position Details: this role is remote (U.S.), primarily NA travel with limited opportunities outside the US; 50% or more overnight travel expected. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree 10+ years of experience in technical implementation, production management, process engineering, technical sales, or field sales support Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record No immigration sponsorship offered for this role Ability to travel 50% or more overnight Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.) Ability to lead teams and develop/motivate team members; strong executive presence for interactions with senior customer leaders Experience with process instrumentation and industrial automation systems Additional language proficiency (e.g., Spanish) Compensation & Benefits
The total compensation range for this position is $131,700-$197,500 including base pay and target incentives per plan terms.
