Overview

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines is recruiting for a Medical Science Liaison, Immunology (Rheumatology) to be based in the Northern California and Oregon territory. Responsibilities

Provide fair, balanced, objective scientific information and education to opinion leaders (OLs), health care professionals, and internal partners as required by scientific and business needs. Serve as a scientific and clinical knowledge lead on current and future J&J Innovative Medicine products within the Therapeutic Area alignment. Stay abreast of current scientific and treatment landscape trends in the therapeutic areas of interest. Develop and maintain external relationships with OLs and health care providers and manage a geographical territory, with a mix of virtual and in-person engagements (prioritizing in-person when appropriate). Develop and execute a territory strategic plan, including educational activities with OLs, HCPs, institutions, and community practices. Collaborate with field-based partners to support healthcare providers in a compliant manner that positively impacts patient care. Maintain compliance with current regulatory and health care compliance guidelines; apply the competencies of Change Management, Time Management and Innovation. Travel is a key component of this field-based role, estimated at 70% of time, including some overnight and weekend commitments. Qualifications

PharmD, PhD, MD, or other advanced medical degree; NP (Nurse Practitioner), PA (Physician Assistant) with 2+ years of relevant therapeutic area clinical experience. Ability to support travel up to 70% which includes overnight travel and some weekend commitments. Ability to drive and fly to various meetings, congresses, and headquarters. Valid U.S. driver's license and clean driving record. Reside within the defined assigned territory or be eligible for relocation. Preferred

Minimum 2 years of relevant Immunology-related work experience (clinical, research, fellowship, or pharmaceutical) with presentation skills. Knowledge or experience in Rheumatology and/or Immunology highly preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of computers and remote technologies. Residency in territory close to a major airport (San Francisco preferred; Portland or other metro areas considered). Location

Portland, Oregon; Sacramento, California; San Francisco, California; Northern California and Oregon territory. Compensation
