Responsibilities

As the Senior Director of Colocation Infrastructure Construction Delivery, lead the strategic vision for data center projects, align with long-term organizational goals, and drive delivery excellence.

Lead a dynamic team of professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and high performance. Inspire the team to push the boundaries of data center design and construction.

Travel will be required and could be 50% or more at times. Work from home/remote.

Develop and implement comprehensive plans to optimize efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence in delivery. Engage with key stakeholders, manage high-stakes vendor relationships, and navigate regulatory compliance.

Anticipate and mitigate risks to maintain project timelines and budgets. Stay ahead of industry trends and incorporate cutting-edge technologies to future-proof data centers.

Collaborate with DCIB teams to coordinate base building and MEP infrastructure with tenant fit-out data hall white space projects.

Key Responsibilities Include

Review and understand complex data center construction projects constructed by colocation lease providers; analyze risk profiles and work with providers to mitigate.

Strategic planning: develop and implement long-term standards and strategies for data center colocation construction project delivery to align with organizational goals.

Oversee base building and MEP infrastructure portions; coordinate with DCIB teams on tenant fit-out projects.

Team leadership: mentor project managers, engineers, and construction professionals.

Project oversight: ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.

Schedule management: maintain detailed project schedules and coordinate milestones with providers.

Risk evaluation: independently assess risk profiles and communicate potential impacts to the business.

Tenant fit-out integration: coordinate design, construction, and commissioning with DCIB teams leading tenant fit-out efforts.

Quality assurance: implement and oversee quality control processes.

Design coordination: ensure construction aligns with approved design plans.

Stakeholder communication: serve as primary liaison with colocation providers.

Compliance: ensure activities comply with regulations, codes, and standards.

Provider evaluation input for continuous improvement; regular project visits to monitor schedule, coordination, and quality.

Innovation: stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance performance and sustainability.

Attend meetings across time zones to support international projects.

Required Skills

Extensive knowledge of base building data center construction—civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, controls, and plumbing.

Problem solving and analytical abilities for complex challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Strategic planning and the ability to develop and implement long-term program-level requirements.

Technical knowledge of data center design, construction, and operation.

Project management experience in large-scale data center construction from inception to completion.

Leadership: ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.

Budget management and cost control expertise.

Risk management and mitigation skills.

Vendor management and contract oversight.

Regulatory compliance knowledge and understanding of industry standards.

Communication: strong verbal and written skills for stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Minimum of 12 years of experience in construction project management, focused on data center or colocation infrastructure with general contractor, colocation provider, or hyperscaler background.

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects.

Strong understanding of construction processes, quality control, and design coordination.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Location and Compensation US: Hiring Range in USD from: $161,700 - $338,500 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle US offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holidays, parental leave, and other voluntary benefits. Salary ranges vary by location and are determined by knowledge, skills, and market conditions.
