Head of Engineering – Retail

We are looking for a visionary Head of Engineering – Retail Practice to spearhead our technology strategy and execution in the rapidly evolving retail landscape. This role combines deep engineering leadership with strong domain expertise to deliver transformative solutions across omnichannel commerce, digital stores, supply chain, customer experience, and data-driven retail. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader who can blend cutting-edge technologies with real-world retail challenges to create scalable, secure, and future-ready platforms. Note : This position is not eligible for Immigration Sponsorship at this time. Responsibilities : Strategic & Domain Leadership : Define and execute the technology vision for the Retail practice, aligned with business growth and client priorities. Anticipate industry trends and translate them into actionable engineering roadmaps. Collaborate with business leaders to shape offerings across omnichannel commerce, merchandising, supply chain, store operations, and customer engagement. Engineering & Delivery Excellence : Lead end-to-end engineering for retail platforms, products, and solutions — from architecture to delivery. Ensure adoption of modern engineering practices (cloud-native, microservices, DevSecOps, API-first, data/AI-first). Drive accelerators, reusable frameworks, and reference architectures to speed up solution delivery. Client & Business Impact : Engage directly with retail CxOs and technology leaders to shape transformation programs. Translate client pain points into differentiated, engineering-led solutions. Influence pre-sales, solutioning, and go-to-market initiatives with strong technical credibility. Qualifications : 15 to 20+ years of engineering and technology leadership experience, with at least 5+ years in the retail domain. Strong understanding of Retail Domain Data Models and Data Domains (Data products) for supply chain systems, personalization engines, loyalty programs. Expertise in retail technology ecosystems (Salesforce Commerce, SAP, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, Shopify, etc.) and modern data/AI platforms.
