Medical Office Manager
Salary range: $76K-$94K DOE
About Us
We are a two?physician private practice in Redmond specializing in Sports Medicine and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation. We focus on highly functional, middle?aged athletes (many are software engineers) who want to stay active while recovering from injury. We prioritize patient?first care, perform diagnostic and ultrasound?guided procedures, and intentionally operate outside large health systems to preserve clinical independence. Role Summary
You will run day?to?day clinic operations, manage finances and HR, maintain compliance and records, and ensure smooth patient workflows. This is a hands?on role that blends accounting, insurance/payor oversight, staff leadership, and patient communication in a small, fast?paced practice. Key Responsibilities
Financial management:
A/P, A/R, account reconciliations, monthly financial reporting to physicians, monitor billing payments, manage QuickBooks. Taxes & reporting:
Compile and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings (excluding corporate tax return). Insurance oversight:
Manage payor relationships, claims follow?up, and insurance reconciliation. HR & payroll:
Oversee payroll, benefits administration, hiring/onboarding, performance conversations, and basic HR issues for junior staff. Operations & compliance:
Develop and implement office policies; ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and medical record confidentiality. Clinic logistics:
Order medical and office supplies, maintain inventory records, arrange cleaning and emergency maintenance. Patient communications:
Have candid, professional conversations with patients about self?pay procedures and billing; provide patient educational materials. Staff development:
Train and mentor front?office staff to maintain excellent patient experience and efficient workflows. Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a medical office manager or practice manager in an outpatient clinic. Strong accounting/financial skills and demonstrated competence with
QuickBooks . Practical knowledge of health insurance/payor processes and medical billing workflows. Experience handling payroll and basic HR responsibilities. Familiarity with medical terminology and medical records handling. Excellent organizational, communication, and conflict?resolution skills; comfortable having difficult conversations with patients and staff. Ability to work variable hours; main clinic hours MondayThursday 8:00 AM6:00 PM. BS in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred but not required with strong experience.
