Overview

The Director of Supply Chain will lead and direct all facets of short-term and long-term supply chain management including purchasing, logistics, inventory management and control, warehousing, material forecasting, capacity planning and sourcing and master scheduling. This role reports directly to the COO and provides leadership and direction on a departmental and cross-functional basis. This person will work closely with operations to ensure materials are in house in time for production and provide guidance on inventory levels based on market conditions, availability, lead-time and potential supply risk. Responsibilities

Direct the activities of all functions involved in the purchasing, inventory, production planning, warehousing and control of materials from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product into finished goods inventory and delivery of products to customers. Manage inventory and establish controls to ensure the company operates at the highest level of performance based on key performance metrics and minimize supply chain risk. Develop strategies, policies, procedures and an overall team to optimize the value of the entire function in creating a world-class materials management group. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and ethical standards related to procurement. Develop and continuously improve supplier programs. Participate in existing and new product planning processes to assure timely acquisition of materials to support product launches. Optimize ERP system as a resource for reporting accurate and timely information to support the production planning process. Lead negotiation efforts for major contracts. Develop and manage departmental budgets accordingly. Anticipate demand and suggest purchases to ensure production continuity. Partner with Production and Sales teams to develop demand plans to meet customer expectations at the lowest possible cost. Ensure sufficient inventory for business functions without overcapitalizing on stock that could become obsolete. Assess and recommend process, system and infrastructure changes to optimize planning, procurement and warehousing functions across the enterprise. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related fields of study Prior experience in demand planning, procurement and logistics utilizing ERP systems Direct management experience in a food manufacturing environment Strong customer and tactical focus Strategic thinker and problem solver with confidence and speed in execution Exceptional interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict management skills across all levels of the organization Seniority level
