As our Marketing Manager, you\'ll help shape the public face of a newly forming center focused on entrepreneurship and business innovation. This is a unique opportunity to build a cohesive marketing strategy across multiple program areas—supporting current students, business owners, successful families, sponsors, and the wider community. You\'ll be both a thought partner in branding and strategy, and an executor of impactful campaigns and materials. Essential Functions Marketing Strategy & Brand Development Collaborate with center leaders to develop and execute a unified brand identity while also supporting differentiated visual identities/messaging for specific programs. Proactively promote the integrated centers, on-campus (to traditional students) and off-campus (to the general public and business professionals) to drive awareness, enrollment, and participation in courses, programs and events. Ensure all content aligns with the Daniels College of Business style guide and brand voice. Partner on strategic planning to grow awareness, program participation, and community engagement. Content Creation & Digital Marketing Design high-quality marketing collateral using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite, including flyers, social media graphics, slide decks, impact reports, banners, and event signage. Manage website content and design updates to keep all digital materials current and compelling. Coordinate video creation projects that highlight center programs and impact. Manage and grow social media presence across key platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook), tailoring messaging to diverse audiences (students, professionals, community, alumni, family business leaders, sponsors). Write and schedule posts that reflect program offerings, events, and core values. Build and manage a comprehensive content calendar. Engagement & Promotion Represent the centers at promotional events, creating engaging, branded experiences for attendees. Help increase program enrollment, event attendance, sponsorship, and philanthropic support through creative marketing and strong storytelling. Work closely with the college\'s central Marketing & Communications team to ensure alignment and leverage broader resources. Be a creative partner to faculty, staff, and program leaders across all integrated centers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite Ability to present information effectively, respond to questions and concerns immediately and facilitate satisfactory resolutions to problems. Ability to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy. Must have the self-confidence and assertiveness to present and support conclusions to a variety of groups including high level administrators. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and work with all levels of staff across various departments. Possess strong communication skills. Proven track record in good customer satisfaction and service delivery commitment. Ability to work in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. Ability to develop processes, document processes and operationalize them. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in marketing, communications, design, or related field or equivalent years of experience. 2+ years of experience in marketing, digital media, or related roles. Proficiency with design tools (like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) and/or CMS systems (like Wordpress). Excellent written and visual communication skills. Familiarity with higher education or nonprofit environments is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Experience in higher education marketing Experience in a start-up environment Experience assisting with sales efforts Working Environment Standard office environment. Unexpected interruptions occur often and stress level is moderate to high. Noise level is quiet to moderate. Physical Activities Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods of time. Occasionally required to move about the office/campus. Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. with occasional evening events. This position allows for 1-2 remote days per week dependent on on-campus program delivery. The hiring manager will share more about DU hybrid work policy and discuss work schedule flexibility.
