Overview
Marketing Manager, Entrepreneurship & Business Innovation Centers at Inside Higher Ed is a role within the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. This position supports a new initiative that brings together entrepreneurship, family enterprise, franchising, outdoor leadership education, and sales leadership to shape the public face of the center and its programs. Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Brand Development: Collaborate with center leaders to develop and execute a unified brand identity while supporting differentiated visual identities and messaging for specific programs. Proactively promote the integrated centers to drive awareness, enrollment, and participation in courses, programs, and events (on-campus and off-campus). Ensure content aligns with the Daniels College of Business style guide and brand voice. Partner on strategic planning to grow awareness, program participation, and community engagement. Content Creation & Digital Marketing: Design marketing collateral using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (flyers, social media graphics, slide decks, impact reports, banners, event signage). Manage website content and design updates. Coordinate video projects that highlight center programs and impact. Grow social media presence across Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Facebook, tailoring messaging to diverse audiences. Write and schedule posts and build a content calendar. Engagement & Promotion: Represent the centers at events, create engaging branded experiences, and help increase program enrollment, event attendance, sponsorship, and philanthropic support through storytelling. Work with the college’s central Marketing & Communications team to align and leverage broader resources. Serve as a creative partner to faculty, staff, and program leaders across all integrated centers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Effective presenter, responsive to questions, and able to resolve problems diplomatically. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work with staff across departments. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Commitment to good customer service and service delivery. Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment and to develop and document processes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, design, or related field or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience in marketing, digital media, or related roles. Proficiency with design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) and/or CMS systems (WordPress). Excellent written and visual communication skills. Familiarity with higher education or nonprofit environments is a plus. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education marketing. Experience in a start-up environment. Experience assisting with sales efforts. Working Environment
Standard office environment with moderate to high activity and occasional interruptions. Noise level ranges from quiet to moderate. Physical Activities
Ability to work in front of a computer for extended periods and occasional movement around the office/campus. Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with occasional evening events. This position allows for 1-2 remote days per week depending on on-campus program delivery. The hiring manager will share more about hybrid work policy and schedule flexibility. Application Details
