Marketing and Communications Manager
to join our team and help us tell our story, engage our community, and grow our impact. Position Overview The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing communications strategy to raise awareness of our mission, share our impact, and engage our community of donors and supporters. This role will be responsible for working closely with the whole team to create compelling campaigns that increase giving. How to Apply Apply online using the link provided. Key Responsibilities Develop communication strategy and manage annual marketing calendar to maximize opportunities for impact and visibility Manage multiple communication projects, deadlines, and campaigns simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective execution Content Creation and Professional Writing Develop and write compelling content across multiple platforms, including fundraising appeals, donor stewardship reports, annual and interim impact reports, newsletters, website copy, and more Manage social media accounts and utilize social media to promote the organization’s events, programs, and announcements Creates and designs social media posts, reels, and videos and oversees community management on platforms External Relations Act as the primary contact for media inquiries Develop and maintain relationships with journalists and community partners; Seek opportunities for promotion, collaboration, and partnership Identify, develop, and proactively pitch story ideas to local media Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other traditional media materials Identify and coordinate speaking engagements for the CEO and other staff members to increase visibility in the community Brand Management Ensure all communications align with our brand voice and mission Manage established visual identity through basic graphic design for social media, print materials, and digital assets Manage relationships with external marketing/design vendors to oversee projects Impact Storytelling Proactively look for opportunities to tell our story and the stories of our partners including gathering quotes, conducting interviews, and maximizing partnerships Website Management Manage and update organization website to ensure the info remains timely and relevant Work with external vendor to ensure website security measures and plugins remain up to date Collaborate with staff and external partners to develop and implement broader strategy for the website as a tool for engagement Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, strategic communications, PR, journalism, or related field 5-7 years of professional experience in a marketing or communications role Experience with traditional media such as newspapers, broadcast news, and a track record of securing positive earned media coverage Experience with social media management platforms and strong understanding of best practices for different platforms Experience with graphic design and tools like Adobe InDesign and Canva Experience with email marketing systems such as Mailchimp Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and persuasive content for various audiences What We Offer Full-time position, 40 hours per week Hybrid schedule: Tuesdays-Thursdays in office, Mondays and Fridays remote Salary: $60-70K depending on experience and qualifications 401K matching program Health, dental, and vision insurance 12 paid holidays 2 floating holidays 12 weeks paid family and medical leave Employee assistance program
