The role is field-based and candidates should live within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. This geography covers Trenton, Hamilton Square, Medford, Marlton, Mount Laurel, Monroe Township, East Windsor, Lawrenceville and surrounding areas.

Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, effectively manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and apply customer needs solving capability to maximize short and long term sales performance. Place the patient at the center of efforts and operate within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies and all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set goals.

Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and execute post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and gain actions to close on calls.

Aspire to serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers.

Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities.

Build understanding of customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, and market landscape; share market intelligence with in-field and brand teams to align and optimize strategy.

Differentiate AbbVie\'s value proposition with health providers and identify disease state experts and speakers to maximize brand performance.

Maintain in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes; demonstrate strong business acumen and strategic thinking.

Proven track record of sales success and strong presentation skills; adapt selling approaches to customer style and needs.

Influence others and build collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams; lead by example and coach peers through changing environments.

Document success in leadership and increased responsibilities at district/region levels and leverage findings to inform sales strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor\'s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, business-related field, or equivalent industry experience preferred; or relevant experience. If no bachelor\'s degree, at least five (5) years of experience with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry; a high school diploma/GED is required.

Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; operates effectively in a matrix environment.

Proven sales success and solid presentation skills; ability to adapt to customer style and needs, and contribute ideas for the broader organization.

Ability to influence and be a credible, respected resource among peers; builds collaborative partnerships with district and matrix teams.

Experience with leadership or increased responsibility at district/region levels; ability to leverage findings to develop sales strategies.

Preferred: track record of sales success in the therapeutic area; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English language proficiency (written and spoken).

All candidates must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to access facilities in the assigned territory and remain in good standing/eligible to obtain these credentials.

Key Stakeholders

External: Specialty Physicians in the therapeutic brand area, pharmacists, nurses, and others depending on brand plan.

Internal: In-field team members, Sales Management (e.g., DSM), Marketing Management, Training, Customer Excellence, & Brand Plan stakeholders.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs and long-term incentive programs.
