We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. In this role, you will oversee the financial operations and budgeting for multiple capital programs, ensuring fiscal integrity and compliance. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with strong accounting expertise and a commitment to supporting impactful projects.


Responsibilities:

• Manage the financial operations and budgeting of multi-year and annual capital programs, including building, capital maintenance, and technology initiatives.

• Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies to maintain accuracy and compliance.

• Oversee the computerized general ledger system and prepare detailed monthly financial reports for capital projects.

• Apply accounting and budgeting principles to support the effective management of funds under general supervision.

• Implement and maintain standardized processes and internal controls to ensure program compliance and fiscal integrity.

• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing.

• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure financial accuracy and adherence to organizational policies.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP tools to manage data efficiently and support decision-making.

• Provide guidance and expertise in the use of financial services platforms such as ADP and Concur.

• Proven experience in accounting and financial management, particularly within capital projects.
• Proficiency in accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools.
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and auditing processes.
• Familiarity with financial services platforms such as ADP and Concur.
• Ability to analyze and resolve financial discrepancies effectively.
• Expertise in implementing and maintaining internal controls and standardized processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
