Ironwear, a leading manufacturer of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is on the lookout for a dedicated Warehouse Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our warehouse operations by ensuring efficient handling and processing of inventory. Your contributions will help us maintain our high standards of quality and service as we serve our customers in various industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming inventory and ensure accurate documentation
• Organize and maintain warehouse storage to optimize efficiency and safety
• Pick and pack orders accurately and prepare them for shipment
• Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and reporting discrepancies
• Utilize warehouse equipment to load and unload products safely
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area
• Collaborate with team members to ensure workflow continuity
• Adhere to safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs) regularly
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting
• Basic knowledge of inventory management principles
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, is a plus
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes

Additional Skills

• Forklift certification preferred but not required
• Basic computer skills for tracking inventory and shipments
• Positive attitude and a proactive approach to work
