The HR Specialist is responsible for supporting key human resource functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a positive workplace culture and ensuring that HR processes run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing
Assist in sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates
Coordinate job postings on internal and external platforms
Maintain applicant tracking system and ensure timely candidate follow-up
- Employee Onboarding & Offboarding
Facilitate new hire onboarding processes, including paperwork, orientation, and systems setup
Support offboarding processes including exit interviews and final documentation
- HR Operations & Compliance
Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS and personnel files
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
Assist with audits and reporting requirements as needed
- Benefits & Payroll Support
Provide support with benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions
Liaise with payroll to ensure accurate and timely employee data
- Employee Relations & Engagement
Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns
Support engagement initiatives, employee surveys, and company events
- Policy & Process Development
Assist in the development and communication of HR policies and procedures
Help implement HR programs and process improvements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in an HR role (generalist or specialist capacity preferred)
- Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
- Bilingual in English and [Chinese/Spanish/etc.] is a plus (if relevant to your workforce)
