Location: Houston, TX (Remote work with travel up to 10%). FLSA Status: Exempt. Position: Senior Human Resources Generalist. Department: EPC HR Office. Supervisor: Sr. Director of Total Rewards. Employment type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Summary

The Senior Human Resources Generalist will support the Senior Manager, HR Business Partners to oversee the successful implementation of HR programs across the organization. This position is remote and reports to the Senior Director of HR Business Partner or another senior management individual designated by the CEO. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Support the HRBPs in the execution and administration of various HR programs along the employee lifecycle
  • In partnership with HRBPs, address and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Manage a range of administrative tasks, including workforce planning, onboarding, employee exits, and maintain employee records in partnership with HR Operations
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Work with other HR teams to create and streamline HR policies and procedures
  • Manage and oversee the execution of talent programs, including internship, rotational, and high-potential programs
  • Provide internal support and partnership to business leaders to deliver key HR initiatives
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Exhibit excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate with upper management is a strong plus
  • Maintain a customer mindset with a focus on quality
  • Show adaptability and innovation; propose creative solutions to improve efficiency and quality
  • Take accountability for the quality and timeliness of work; maintain a high level of accuracy
  • Make timely, informed decisions considering goals, constraints, and risks
  • Commit to talent development, learning, and coaching others to support employee growth
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by Management

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related business field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of various HR programs and the HR employee lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal HR regulations
  • Proficiency with HRIS, payroll systems (e.g., ADP WFN)
  • Advanced Excel reporting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) or related energy industries
  • Proficiency with HRIS (e.g., Workday, ADP) and multiple payroll systems; MS Office

Physical Demands

  • Stationary for up to 90% of the time; sitting up to 8 hours/day
  • Occasional bending, standing, stooping, walking
  • Occasional lifting up to 10 pounds
  • Frequent communication; ability to hear and speak clearly
  • Regular use of vision for computer work
  • Occasional stair travel
  • Travel up to 10% as needed

Work Environment

  • Office setting with varying noise levels
  • Onsite, hybrid, or remote arrangements may be used as determined by business needs
