Overview

The HRIS Team at Verizon is responsible for the strategy and implementation of employee and manager systems solutions globally. As an HR Business Analyst (Workday Recruiting), you will partner with HR, IT, and cross-functional teams to manage Workday Recruiting projects end-to-end, ensuring successful delivery of solutions that align with business needs and strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with functional recruiting teams, HRIS partners, and IT to manage systems projects from needs assessment through testing and implementation.
  • Translate business requirements into Workday solutions with clear technical specifications.
  • Configure Workday Recruiting processes as per requirements and design.
  • Manage project status reporting to ensure results are achieved within deadlines.
  • Plan, test, and implement system enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, configure, and retest fixes.
  • Train HRIS Recruiting team members on advanced Workday configurations.
  • Participate in Workday Recruiting strategy/transformation sessions (e.g., DPGs).
  • Develop and optimize business processes (Job Profiles, Job Positions, Skills, Supervisory Orgs, etc.).
  • Establish and maintain strong, results-oriented partnerships with internal stakeholders and present solutions to leadership.

Must-Have Skills

  • 7+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong Project Management expertise.
  • Ability to align technology solutions with business needs and overall strategy.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday Business Process Framework.
  • Proven experience configuring complex Workday Recruiting business processes (BPs).
  • Experience creating/modifying business processes such as Job Profiles, Positions, Skills, and Supervisory Orgs.
  • Ability to recommend streamlined, automated solutions for complex challenges.
  • Experience developing moderate-to-complex prototypes in Workday sandbox environments.
  • Proficiency in creating Condition Rules and Validation Conditions.
  • Ability to design, write, and execute Workday test scenarios.
  • Skilled in Workday Report Writer tool for building custom reports.
  • Knowledge of Configurable Security (Constrained vs. Unconstrained Security Groups, Domains, Domain Security Policies, Default Roles).
  • Ability to independently research and resolve issues with minimal guidance.

Desired Skills

  • HRIS or IT experience.
  • Familiarity with Workday Adoption Planning.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.
  • Familiarity with JIRA or other ticketing systems.
  • Knowledge of Workday mobile accessibility.
  • Exposure to AI-driven solutions.

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
  • Workday Pro Certification (Recruiting) (a strong plus).
