The Berlin-Boylston Regional Schools are seeking candidates to be added to our substitute custodian list. This position is on-call for filling in at night 2:30pm–11:00pm and days 6:00am–2:30pm at our three schools in the district.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cleaning classrooms, emptying trash and recycling.
• Clean and supply restrooms; service, clean, and restock restrooms and associated fixtures.
• Perform sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, polishing and minor repairs as required for various floors, walls, windows, light fixtures, toilets, sinks, furniture, and other building furnishings and equipment.
• Assist in the care and maintenance of school grounds, including mowing, edging, sweeping walks, and snow/ice removal.
• Gather and empty trash; address safety and security concerns and report as necessary.
• Other duties as assigned by the Facilities Director or school Principal.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred but not required; entry-level position.
• Ability to work on-call shifts including evenings and early mornings.
• Good judgment and commitment to safety and cleanliness.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
