What You’ll Do
- Select and gather products for customers’ online orders in the most efficient manner with attention to freshness and quality.
- Assemble customers’ online orders, process coupons and payment, and deliver and load orders to cars when customers arrive for pickup.
- Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages return to online shopping.

Essential Job Functions:
- Online Grocery Pick-Up Clerk working as In-Store Grocery Shopper is responsible for selecting and gathering products for customers’ online orders with attention to freshness and quality.
- In-Store Grocery Shopper initiates and completes the selection process for customers’ online orders.
- As part of the E-Commerce team, assemble online orders, process coupons and payments, and load orders to customers’ cars at pickup.
- Scan and bag orders while following bagging standards; communicate substitutions or exceptions to customers at pickup.
- Meet or exceed customer expectations for ease of shopping, variety, freshness, and cleanliness.
- Adhere to local, state, and federal laws, food safety procedures, and company guidelines.
- Receive customer orders from Order Selector, store products in optimal temperature zones, and ensure order accuracy.
- Follow directions in the note section and respond to customers professionally via portable phone.
- Provide a positive customer service experience that encourages return to online shopping.
- Process orders through the POS system; determine substitutions for out-of-stock items.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of staging areas and equipment; report discrepancies and item location issues.
- Inspect equipment and notify management of items needing repair; perform opening and closing procedures.
- Assist in training new e-Commerce team members; meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflict professionally; act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Support and assist through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults; perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications
- Minimum Position Qualifications: Ability to work without supervision; ability to read shelf tags; basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction); excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Desired Previous Experience: Experience as a personal shopper or in a production-oriented or warehouse environment, stocking shelves, or as a cashier.
