Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Accountant at neuro42 in San Francisco, CA. The Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial activities, including managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing financial statements, and conducting financial analysis. The Accountant will also support budgeting, forecasting, and auditing processes.

• Maintain accurate financial records (general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll).
• Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
• Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations; prepare and file taxes.
• Support audits and liaise with auditors.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis for management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CMA preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, SAP) and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.
• Financial accounting, financial analysis, and budgeting skills.
• Audit and compliance knowledge.
