Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join this dynamic civil engineering company. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a solid understanding of GAAP principles.
The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the migration of financial records to QuickBooks Online.
- Maintain accurate records of journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Conduct financial analysis and cash flow analysis to support business decisions.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to guide financial planning.
- Provide technical accounting support, including auditing and regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in accounting and/or bookkeeping.
- 3+ years of experience accounting in the construction industry.
- Expert proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Proficiency in financial concepts and financial management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
- Strong attention to detail coupled with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferred.
