We have an outstanding career opportunity for an Accountant to join a leading Company located in the Smithville, TN surrounding area.

The Senior Accountant keeps our financial system running smoothly by playing a part in all areas of the accounting department. They will be a skilled financial leader within the organization who supports all departments through their accounting acumen. The Senior Accountant will have a daily, ongoing impact on financial transactions, keeping us on track, on time, and up to date on all financial status.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable.
  • Review team reconciliations monthly.
  • Review & approve team journal entries.
  • Manage the company's purchasing card process.
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly.
  • Monthly loan & interest tracking, and reconciliation.
  • North business tracking.
  • Prepare sales comparison & publish monthly.
  • Prepare a monthly financial package (Income statement, Balance sheet).
  • Prepare and submit the STRAVIS financial package monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Prepare slides for presentations as needed.
  • Systematically close the general ledger monthly & yearly.
  • Update cost standards in the CMS system (Annual Cost Roll)
  • Indirect tax & compliance filings. (Sales tax, PPT, BE-605, etc)
  • Audit Lead.
  • Lead annual physical inventories.
  • CMS System Champion.
  • Mentor junior team members.
  • Function as a dedicated backup for other team members when needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Basic Hiring Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in related discipline and (3) plus years' experience in related field; OR Associate degree in related discipline and three (5) plus years' experience in related field; OR high school diploma or equivalent with five (7) plus years' experience in a related field.
  • Must be comfortable utilizing Microsoft products.
  • Excel proficiency is a must.
  • Have strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
  • Strong problem-solving and visualization skills.
