About the Role
Trinity Rail Maintenance Services is hiring a Career Chemical Cleaner at our Fort Worth, TX plant. As a member of the Chemical Cleaning team, you will determine and complete the appropriate cleaning process for the product. You will handle and maintain cleaning equipment and materials, including hazardous chemicals.
What you'll do:
- Purge surfaces with water and/or non-hazardous chemicals
- Train to operate hand-held blast
- Learn details of the job, policies, and processes
- Follow all safety rules, practices, and procedures
- Learn the process of determining and completing the appropriate cleaning process for the product
- Learn to handle and maintain cleaning equipment and materials, including hazardous chemicals
- Learn to operate equipment and/or understand drawings and diagrams
- Must be able to work in confined spaces with full hazmat gear
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll need:
- 0-3 months of related experience, such as chemical cleaning and working in a manufacturing environment
- Have basic understanding of water blasting or abrasive blasting
- Ability to learn and obtain technical certificates required
- Ability to read or learn to read schematics and/or blueprints
