Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is actively looking for a driven Vice President of Fund Accounting Operations to take charge of its fund accounting department, nurture client relationships, and guarantee the precision of financial reporting. This pivotal role involves leading and mentoring fund accounting teams, managing daily operations for client accounts, and acting as the main point of contact for clients regarding their reporting needs. The ideal candidate will also build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, auditors, advisors, banks, and brokers, to facilitate the smooth functioning of fund operations. The Vice President will be responsible for setting and monitoring performance targets, enhancing operational efficiency, and coordinating with auditors to guarantee efficient and timely audit processes. The right fit for this role will possess a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a relevant field, with a CPA or MBA being highly preferred. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in fund accounting is essential, especially with hedge funds and private equity, preferably with previous fund administration experience. A solid grasp of fund structures, investor reporting, regulatory obligations, and audit protocols is crucial. Candidates should demonstrate strong technical expertise in fund accounting, US GAAP, financial reporting, and be proficient in fund accounting software and advanced Excel. Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent client-facing capabilities, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment are key traits we seek in the ideal candidate.
