About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President for Fund Accounting to lead its fund accounting operations, manage client relationships, and ensure the accuracy of financial reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and training fund accounting staff, overseeing daily operations for client accounts, and serving as the primary liaison with clients to address their reporting requirements and needs. Additionally, the role involves maintaining strong relationships with various stakeholders, including investors, auditors, advisors, banks, and brokers, to support seamless fund operations. The Vice President will also be tasked with establishing and monitoring performance targets, driving operational efficiency, and coordinating with auditors to ensure smooth and timely audit completion. Candidates for the Vice President, Fund Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA being preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in fund accounting, particularly with exposure to hedge funds and private equity, is required, with a strong preference for those with prior experience in fund administration. The role demands a deep understanding of fund structures, investor reporting, regulatory requirements, and audit processes. Technical skills should include a strong knowledge of fund accounting, US GAAP, and financial reporting, as well as proficiency in fund accounting systems and advanced Excel. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership and team management abilities, excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
