We are seeking a Clinical Director to lead and oversee all clinical operations at a licensed behavioral health outpatient facility offering PHP and IOP levels of care. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based treatment in alignment with regulatory standards and organizational values. The Clinical Director will manage clinical staff, support program development, and serve as a key liaison between leadership and the care team. Responsibilities Provide day-to-day oversight of clinical and non-clinical functions within the PHP and IOP programs Ensure treatment planning, documentation, and care delivery meet licensing, accreditation, and payer standards Facilitate interdisciplinary team meetings, clinical supervision, and case reviews Support implementation and monitoring of evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing) Monitor client progress and outcomes to ensure effective, client-centered care Collaborate with administrative and medical leadership to ensure continuity of care and program effectiveness Respond to audits, incident reports, and regulatory inquiries as needed Evaluate and refine program policies, procedures, and workflows to improve clinical efficiency Assist in recruiting, hiring, training, and performance management of clinical staff Maintain appropriate staffing levels to support client admissions Foster a safe, therapeutic, and ethical environment for both staff and clients Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education: Master’s or Doctorate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field Licensure: Active clinical license in Virginia (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, PsyD, PhD) Supervisory credential preferred Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in mental health or substance use treatment At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a behavioral health or PHP setting Familiarity with ASAM criteria, DSM-5, trauma-informed care, and integrated co-occurring treatment Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to manage clinical teams and adapt in a dynamic environment Knowledge of HIPAA, Joint Commission, and relevant regulatory frameworks Proficiency with EMR systems and documentation compliance Paid Time Off 401(k) Retirement Plan Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
