Description Applies advanced knowledge of job protected leaves to manage leave of absence (LOA) process for employees and managers. Handles complex or escalated case management to provide consultation and guidance to employees and their managers throughout the leave process. Acts as liaison with workers compensation, disability management, benefits, labor and employee relations, timekeeping, and payroll.

Apply advanced knowledge of LOA processes for employees and managers.
Manage complex or escalated cases; provide consultation and guidance throughout the leave process.
Coordinate with workers compensation, disability management, benefits, labor and employee relations, timekeeping, and payroll teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Thorough knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PFL, PDL, Workers Comp, Military Leave, ERISA, HIPAA and applicable state and federal laws. Advanced knowledge preferred.
Working knowledge of rules and regulations affecting employee benefit programs. Advanced knowledge preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard information.
Strong oral and written communication skills; effective and confident communication.
Skill and sensitivity in dealing with others; professionalism and sound judgement in difficult issues.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to build relationships, collaborate and problem solve across all levels of the organization.
Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Ability to provide high level of service and adapt to shifting priorities.
Knowledge of computer databases and Windows; ability to learn computer systems and programs.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Multilingual preferred; Spanish fluency required.
Special Conditions
Job offer contingent upon satisfactory background clearance.
Occasional evenings and weekends may be required.
Bi-lingual; fluency in English and Spanish required.
