As a VP, you will provide actuarial reinsurance pricing and dynamic portfolio optimization support for our clients and prospects. Line of business focus: Personal lines Property (Cat and Non-Cat), Casualty, and Medical Malpractice. What you’ll do: provide actuarial pricing and portfolio optimization support for clients and prospects; engage with broking teams and clients; participate in research and market studies to position Gallagher Re as a thought leader in reinsurance and the primary marketplace. Responsibilities
Perform actuarial analysis to develop loss models for client business, estimate reinsurance pricing, and determine optimal reinsurance structures given client risk profile and underwriting strategy. Present analyses in clear terms appropriate to the audience. Provide value-added service to clients as needed. Market research and development: assist in market and line of business studies to qualify Gallagher Re as a thought leader in reinsurance and the primary marketplace. Collaborate with other analytical teams across Gallagher Re (actuaries, catastrophe modelers, ERM and capital markets associates). About You / Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience; 7+ years related experience. FCAS or near FCAS. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and R and/or Python. Able to apply advanced mathematical/actuarial concepts and techniques. Skilled in Excel and other software; seeks appropriate data needed for analysis; thoughtful, thorough, and quality-focused. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; builds relationships with brokers and clients; clearly explains technical concepts. Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel; ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside or beyond normal business hours as required. Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; physical requirements include negotiating access areas, lifting, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods. Compensation And Benefits
The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by factors including experience, education, geography, scope, skill set, and hours worked.
