Specialty Representative, Psychiatry - Providence, RI. This field-based role supports AbbVie’s psychiatry portfolio. Talent will be hired at a level commensurate with experience. This role is field-based; candidates should live within a reasonable distance from Providence, RI. Responsibilities

Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships and customer needs solving capability to maximize short- and long-term sales performance with the patient at the center and in compliance with AbbVie’s code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations. Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set objectives. Develop pre-call plan objectives and execute post-call evaluations to improve sales performance; handle objections and concerns to gain calls to action and close on sales opportunities. Proactively serve customer needs and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves set call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Gather and share market intelligence on customer needs, territory landscape, competitors, market segments, disease state, product, clinical and sales insights with in-field team, brand team and sales manager to align and optimize strategy. Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with health providers and identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Travel requirements may include driving a personal vehicle or company car/truck, or use of powered equipment where applicable. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience required. Relevant pharmaceutical/health/science industry experience; five (5) years total with at least three (3) years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred. High school diploma/GED required if no bachelor’s degree. Demonstrates in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools; strategic and critical thinking capabilities. Ability to adapt selling approaches to customer style/behavior; leverage findings to develop sales strategies and provide innovative solutions to maximize opportunities. Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment; credible, collaborative, and able to influence peers and stakeholders. Proven leadership and accountability in previous roles; documentation of increased responsibility at district, region, or organizational levels. Preferred: Proven sales performance in relevant therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed care or marketing; English proficiency for all required communications. Must satisfy all applicable health care industry credentialing requirements (HCIR) to gain/maintain entry into facilities and organizations within the assigned territory; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and required licenses; you are responsible for meeting these requirements. Valid driver’s license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements. Additional Information

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation for this role at the time of posting and depends on geographic location and job grade. Individual compensation may be more or less than the posted range and may be modified in the future.
