The Human Resources Generalist – Retail Solutions will serve as a key partner to managers and employees by providing comprehensive HR support across employee relations, performance management, training and development, metrics/reporting, and HR administration. This role will work closely with leaders in the merchandising division to address employee concerns, coach managers, ensure compliance with policies, and drive a positive workplace culture.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Employee Relations & Performance Management
Partner with managers to address employee performance, conduct investigations, and issue disciplinary actions and write-ups. Provide coaching and guidance on conflict resolution, employee engagement, and workplace concerns. Support managers in preparing for and conducting performance discussions, ensuring fairness and consistency. Training & Development
Deliver training sessions for managers and employees on HR-related topics, including communication, conflict resolution, performance management, and company policies. Train managers on administrative HR processes (e.g., status change forms, pay rate change forms, leave of absence procedures). Identify learning opportunities to strengthen leadership skills within the merchandising division. Metrics & Reporting
Generate and maintain HR metrics and reports related to employee relations, turnover, performance, and training compliance. Provide insights and recommendations based on data trends to support decision-making. Benefits Administration
Educate employees on benefit options and facilitate open enrollment processes. HR Operations & Compliance
Partner with HR leadership to ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and best practices. Support leave of absence management and related employee inquiries. Assist in onboarding, policy rollouts, and other HR programs as needed. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
1-3 years’ experience in a Human Resources department. SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) certification is a plus. Proven experience as an HR Generalist in merchandising and warehouse operations. Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and MS Office Suite. SALARY:
