The Finance and Corporate Services team is seeking a strategic and experienced Privacy Director, with broad experience in employee and customer privacy to lead our global privacy initiatives through Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), emphasizing automation, data-driven insights and AI-powered decision-making. The Director, Finance Privacy is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the organization’s privacy program along with providing strategic guidance on privacy compliance and best practices to internal stakeholders. This role will collaborate with leadership to integrate privacy considerations into business teams and prepare and present regular reports to leadership on the status of the privacy program. The Director of Finance and Corporate Services Privacy plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization’s privacy maturity and compliance posture, acting as a trusted advisor and leading the transformation of the privacy operations through streamlining and automation. Strategy & Governance: Lead and shape the privacy strategy and governance for the Finance and Corporate Services privacy program. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Risk and Compliance teams to ensure consistent interpretation and implementation of regulatory and audit requirements. Global privacy program leadership: Provide operational expertise related to data privacy and protection across the organization. Coordination: Work with cross-functions, partners and vendors to ensure effective privacy function implementation. Privacy advice: Deliver sound privacy compliance guidance to all areas of the business as a subject matter expert. Board representation: Serve as a board member representing Finance Privacy on the Employee Data Governance Board. People Management & Team Development: Manage privacy operations and risk management initiatives; develop program functions such as data subject rights, privacy reviews, cookie compliance, and third-party risk management. Coordination: Continue cross-functional collaboration to ensure privacy functions are effectively implemented. Risk Management & Compliance: Implement and maintain privacy policies and procedures to comply with data protection laws; oversee privacy impact assessments (DPIAs) and proper handling of personal data; ensure audit readiness and robust controls for financial reporting processes. Training & Awareness: Provide compliance guidance to all areas of the business and advise on data protection controls, regulatory readiness, and audit strategies. Qualifications
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in finance or related field AND 8+ years of finance or financial compliance experience OR equivalent experience. 3+ years experience working with global data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, PDPA, CCPA). 3+ years’ experience managing and developing a team of professionals. 2+ years' experience supporting or scaling privacy programs in complex, matrixed organizations. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in law, public policy or a related field; privacy management certification (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) preferred. 5+ years’ experience in privacy compliance. 5+ years of people management experience. Experience leading in matrixed or global delivery environments, particularly across virtual teams. Proven ability to manage privacy programs in complex organizations and to communicate with stakeholders at all levels. Experience automating and improving privacy program processes (e.g., DPIAs, privacy inquiries intake). Experience evaluating the design and effectiveness of controls. Finance Compliance M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations; the base pay range for the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
