Job Summary
The MGH Institute of Health Professions invites applications for term lecturer faculty positions across a variety of programs, including: Communication Sciences & Disorders Genetic Counseling Health Professions Education Healthcare Administration & Data Analytics Nursing Occupational Therapy Physical Therapy Physician Assistant Studies Rehabilitation Sciences Healthcare Leadership Audiology Term Lecturers are appointed on a semester-by-semester basis, contingent upon student demand, and typically teach between 3-9 credits per semester, dependent on program requirements, in various formats. Responsibilities
Responsibilities primarily involve delivering didactic content through both on-site and online platforms, managing course delivery, grading, student mentoring, and maintaining regular office hours. Qualifications
The specific duties and responsibilities are contingent on the program and role. Generally, the Term Lecturer will: Deliver high-quality instruction in alignment with their area of expertise and program needs. Develop and manage online course content using Desire to Learn (D2L) where applicable. Publish and maintain the course syllabus. Oversee course management and content delivery. Conduct assessments and assign grades for student performance. Provide student mentoring and academic support, including designated office hours. While specific qualifications are program-dependent, all Term Lecturers should generally possess: An advanced or terminal degree in a relevant field. Previous clinical experience in applicable programs. An active professional license for programs requiring licensure. A commitment to graduate student success and a demonstrated dedication to fostering diversity and inclusion within the academic environment.
