Lead front-end and center-store operations; direct team members, assign work, train, coach, and counsel to meet or exceed service levels; act as final decision-maker in the Store Manager’s absence. Oversee inventory management, diagnose issues with vendors and warehouses, monitor date integrity, and resolve product issues. Supervise and develop team members; conduct performance reviews and participate in advancement and disciplinary decisions. Manage the in-store training program and provide ongoing development opportunities for staff toward store management. Participate in recruiting and hiring; lead the recruitment process and coordinate hiring decisions. Collaborate with Store Manager to direct a sales-oriented team and align training with store objectives. Promote effective two-way communication with customers and staff; identify improvement areas and drive store-wide programs to enhance customer goodwill and morale. Assign work to teams; support execution of store-level business strategy. Drive customer focus and support Customer Connection programs; deliver remarkable shopping experiences and model desired behaviors. Support achievement of store-wide sales goals; analyze sales and profitability data and help control expenses and labor goals. Oversee store cleanliness, maintenance, and regulatory inspections; act as point of contact during inspections (e.g., Health Department, OSHA). Ensure compliance with sanitation, safety, security, and other policies; develop corrective action plans as needed. Qualifications
Excellent leadership and team-building skills; strong communication (written and verbal). Interpersonal, customer service, coaching, and training abilities. Proven decision-making, delegation, and negotiation skills; strong organizational and financial understanding. Fundamental understanding of labor contracts; knowledge of store operations, finances, safety, and applicable regulations. Education: Four-year college degree or equivalent knowledge/experience. Experience: Two years of related experience. Physical: Ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, reach, pull, lift objects as required in a basic office/store environment. Compensation and Benefits
