Position overview: The Director, Center Store Merchandising provides strategic leadership, corporate direction, fiscal responsibility, and accountability across respective departments. The role delivers a customer experience for the assigned product area across banners that maximize revenue goals. The director coordinates the product life cycle to reflect current product trends in the market and public response to products, and partners with store operations and pricing and promotions to develop effective pricing and improve product selection, inventory levels, and customer satisfaction.

Job Summary The Director of Merchandising provides strategic leadership, corporate direction, fiscal responsibility, and accountability across respective departments. The position is responsible for delivering a customer experience for the assigned product area across banners that maximize revenue goals. The position coordinates the product life cycle to ensure the company reflects current product trends in the market and public response to products. The position partners with store operations and pricing and promotions to develop effective pricing and for the improvement in product selection, inventory levels and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Lead team members in the successful and sustainable execution of strategic objectives, plans, programs, and related activities within budget.
Develop direct reports, goals, and analytics to support product categories.
Maintain vendor relationships to ensure competitive pricing.
Lead Category Managers to ensure the correct product and inventory levels are available in response to demand.
Build product opportunities by banner through product lines that meet regional product demand and customer demand.
Maintain relationships with key vendors to ensure competitive pricing, supply, and availability.
Lead design of current and future merchandising strategies by banner.
Collaborate with banner store operations management, marketing, procurement to maximize product life cycle.
Perform other related duties as required.

Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain concepts and methodologies
Strong skills with procurement buying systems and Excel
Experience 10 years related experience, 7 years Management, Supervisory, and/or leadership experience
Education 4 Year/Bachelors Degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
Other Up to 25% travel
