Is mission-driven and passionate about higher-acuity care Began as a clinician and still values the craft of therapy Has a relational, emotions-focused, trauma-informed or psychodynamic orientation (rather than a predominantly cognitive or behavioral one) Transitioned into operations and leadership, discovering a love for systems and accountability Is process-driven and skilled at embedding systems into daily operations Will periodically still join or lead sessions as a way of staying grounded in the work and connected to the clinical team Is decisive, accountable, and comfortable holding others to high standards Balances compassion with firmness; respected by staff, but unafraid to say, “this is what needs to be done” Is comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Can take a founder’s ideas – established as well as evolving ones – and turn them into daily reality, building systems that scale This is not just a management role. where team members know what’s expected, feel supported, and are held accountable—with kindness and consistency. What You'll Do
Lead the daily clinical and operational functions of Greywood’s PHP/IOP programs Collaborate in the supervision and mentoring of therapists with a firm, relational approach Evaluate clinical and administrative staff including developing/refining performance metrics Support individualized treatment planning in alignment with program design Stay connected to the therapy itself by facilitating occasional groups Ensure coordination of admissions, utilization review, discharge planning, finance, and marketing to optimize workflows and support census growth Lead clinical quality assurance and compliance initiatives, including audits, documentation review, regulatory and payer requirement maintenance, and continuous improvement processes Embed systems into workflows, rejecting ad hoc chaos in favor of clarity and structure Collaborate with the founder to align clinical operations with organizational strategy, ensuring both quality outcomes and financial sustainability Represent Greywood as a clinical and operational leader in the community What You Bring
An Illinois license (LCSW, LCPC, PsyD, or PhD in Clinical Psychology) 7+ years post-licensure clinical experience, ideally including work in higher-acuity levels of care (IOP, PHP, residential, or hospital-based programs) At least 3–5 years of leadership/management experience within a behavioral health organization Demonstrated ability to oversee multidisciplinary teams (therapists, case managers, group facilitators, etc.) Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards specific to PHP/IOP settings (documentation, utilization review, payer requirements) Our Values
