This position sits within a PE backed industrial organization that is looking to grow via acquisitions and seeking a CFO to establish strategic finance initiatives. The CFO will play a critical role on the executive leadership team, guiding the company’s financial strategy, operations, and long-term planning. This individual will blend technical accounting expertise with strong business acumen, serving as both a strategic advisor and hands-on leader. The CFO will oversee a lean finance organization and be directly involved in driving growth, operational excellence, and value creation. Key Responsibilities Oversee all financial functions, including accounting, FP&A, reporting, compliance, and risk management. Deliver timely, accurate financial reporting and strategic insights to both internal teams and external stakeholders. Collaborate closely with the CEO and executive team on business strategy, growth planning, and capital deployment. Lead the annual budgeting process, forecasting cycles, and development of long-range financial models. Support operational leaders with financial analysis, cost management strategies, and margin optimization. Manage key external relationships including banks, auditors, insurers, and other financial partners. Drive process improvements that enhance financial transparency, operational efficiency, and scalability. Build, develop, and lead a high-performing finance and accounting team. Qualifications & Experience Proven leadership in finance and accounting, ideally within a private equity–backed environment. Strong expertise in financial planning and technical accounting; CPA or MBA preferred. Industry experience in manufacturing, industrial, or related sectors is advantageous. Ability to operate both strategically and tactically—comfortable rolling up your sleeves when needed. Demonstrated ability to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. High integrity and a collaborative, hands-on approach to leadership. The role is an executive-level, full-time position in the accounting and finance function, within the packaging and containers manufacturing industry.
