Events Services Supervisor . About Us The College of Coastal Georgia is an undergraduate college in the University System of Georgia with an additional outreach through the Camden Center in Kingsland, Georgia. The College provides an affordable and interactive education in the natural beauty and abundant sunshine of Georgia's Golden Isles. Job Summary This position supervises, coordinates and participates in all college events, including ceremonies, student activities, events at the Coastal Community Center for the Arts, Southeast Georgia Conference Center and approved off-campus events. Responsibilities include planning, set-ups, breakdowns, and managing event inventory. Responsibilities Supervises, schedules, and works alongside staff in the set-up and breakdown of college events. Leads and actively participates in planning, organizing, and executing event logistics to ensure timely and high-quality service. Oversees and assists with the storage, inventory, maintenance, and distribution of all event-related equipment and materials. Coordinates with campus partners and departments to provide event support and customer service. Uses CourseDog or other scheduling/event management systems to coordinate reservations, track event details, and manage resource allocation. Provides on-site supervision and hands on support during events and ceremonies to ensure smooth operations. Trains, directs, and evaluates staff assigned to event support. Ensures compliance with institutional policies, safety guidelines, and accessibility standards during events. When event activity is limited, assists with general campus support such as landscaping or grounds duties, and performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Must possess a current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and pass a yearly Motor Vehicle Report review. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and will be subject to random drug testing. Must be able to work evenings and weekends to support scheduled events. Three or more years of related experience, including at least one year in a lead or supervisory role preferred. Abilities Oversee and perform work while intermittently sitting, standing, stooping, walking, bending, or crouching. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs and climb ladders as needed. Work outdoors and indoors in various weather conditions and event environments. KNOWLEDGE College policies and procedures. Event planning, scheduling systems, and support practices. CourseDog event scheduling software or comparable event management systems. Principles of supervision and leadership. Event safety, accessibility, and risk management. Computers and job-related software programs. Skills Supervising and training staff. Planning and prioritizing work. Coordinating event logistics and managing inventory.
