Phoenix Children’s is seeking a talented, energetic, compassionate and collegial Pediatric Physiatrist/Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine physician to join the Division of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). The Division is comprised of fellowship-trained pediatric PM&R physicians and nurse practitioners providing multidisciplinary care to help children achieve independence. The ideal candidate will have broad clinical knowledge and an interest in program development, with growth of inpatient and outpatient services as Phoenix Children’s expands. Clinical work includes the inpatient rehabilitation unit, inpatient PM&R consult service, outpatient physiatry clinic and other multidisciplinary clinics. The Division is involved in injection therapy management for spasticity and dystonia, multidisciplinary surgical management (SDR/ITB/DBS), with opportunities for EMG/NCV expansion. Educational/teaching involvement with the Honor Health PM&R residency program and other training programs. Highlights of PM&R Division

Provide patient care services on inpatient and outpatient bases, including subspecialty consultations and follow-up Perform diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures; provide care for urgent/emergent situations Support patient-centered care, patient satisfaction goals, and division quality standards Adhere to contemporary evidence-based practice Divisional Responsibilities

Support annual physician goals; contribute to education programs, rounds, lectures and conferences Supervise trainees and allied health professionals; participate in postgraduate education Support division research and growth initiatives; participate in satellite/division activities Represent the division in professional settings as needed Professionalism

Maintain courtesy, dignity and respect for colleagues and patients Promote a safe, cooperative health care environment; align with Phoenix Children’s mission and values Other Activities

Support Division Chief as liaison to professional community; may conduct teaching rounds or conferences outside Phoenix Children’s as appropriate Represent Phoenix Children’s professionally in medical and public communities Capacities for after-hours call; adhere to scheduled hours Qualifications
