Within our Retail locations, Pharmacy Managers lead and develop a team to provide exceptional patient care, promote best practices, and drive performance with compliance to regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities
Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices Overseeing the pharmacy team during bench shifts, coaching and following up to improve performance Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails Contributing to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care; resolving insurance and/or medication issues Offering and delivering immunizations; identifying and developing Immunization capabilities among Pharmacy Technicians Managing pharmacy inventory with emphasis on protecting cold chain products Conducting onboarding for Technicians and Pharmacists, including training on CVS workflow and ensuring timely completion of required training and licensure Ensuring operations comply with state Board of Pharmacy regulations; escalate issues as needed Partnering with the Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline and ensure cross-trained colleagues are progressing toward licensure Overseeing Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable); delivering annual performance reviews and closing gaps Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic; managing the pharmacy schedule Reviewing business reporting to develop action plans for workflow, service, patient care, and compliance Establishing a culture of safety, empowerment, and inclusion with openness to feedback Maintaining clinical and technical skills; pursuing opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients Supporting access to care and improving patient outcomes through pharmacist-delivered clinical care where permissible Understanding and complying with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and CVS Health policies; ensuring privacy and security Required Qualifications
Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located Active National Provider Identifier (NPI) Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist Essential Functions
Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe Attention and Focus: ability to concentrate on a task, pivot between tasks, and ensure prescription accuracy Customer Service and Team Orientation: proactively help others and respond to patient needs Communication Skills: effective verbal and written communication; active listening Mathematical Reasoning: calculate days’ supply, quantities, and other dispensing calculations Problem Resolution: address challenging interactions with appropriate actions Physical Demands: mobility, lifting, reaching, repetitive motions, visual acuity, and ability to lift up to 20 lbs Team Management and Leadership: lead by example, delegate, coach, and drive high performance Other tasks as directed by supervisor or manager Preferred Qualifications
Completion of the CVS Pharmacy Manager Emerging Leader (PM-EL) program 3-5 years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service Ability to work in the home store and across the market as needed Anticipated Weekly Hours

Full time Pay Range
$65.00 - $82.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Actual base salary offers depend on experience, education, geography, and other factors. Eligible for CVS Health bonus or other incentive programs. Benefits
