Administrative Receptionist Needed in Santa Barbara, CA
(3 - 4 weeks assignment)
Location : Santa Barbara, CA
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation : $20 - $24/hour
Temp:
3 - 4 weeks (possible extension)
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and organized
Administrative
Receptionist
to support our transportation office operations. This role is essential in ensuring smooth administrative functions while maintaining a secure and professional front office environment. The lobby is closed to the public, so this position focuses on internal coordination and controlled access.
Key Responsibilities
Answer and route incoming phone calls professionally Greet and assist visitors via intercom system Prepare and distribute incoming/outgoing mail Accept and log deliveries Order and maintain office supplies and inventory Prepare checks and assist with basic accounting tasks Perform general administrative duties (filing, scanning, data entry) Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors Maintain confidentiality and security protocols Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred 1+ years of administrative or front desk experience Strong communication and organizational skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks Work Environment
Office-based role with limited public interaction Lobby is closed to the public; access is controlled via intercom Professional, team-oriented environment
