We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Tester to join our QA team at Charles Schwab. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in testing mainframe applications, executing batch jobs, validating data, and ensuring seamless integration across systems.

Job Description

The Mainframe Tester will perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing on mainframe applications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing on mainframe applications.
• Execute and validate batch jobs (JCL) and CICS transactions.
• Work with DB2, VSAM, flat files for data validation and verification.
• Write and execute SQL queries for backend testing.
• Identify, log, and track defects using tools like JIRA / ALM / QC.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality deliverables.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on experience with JCL, TSO/ISPF, DB2, File-AID, QMF.
• Strong knowledge of Mainframe testing methodologies (batch and online).
• Proficiency in SQL and data validation techniques.
• Experience in financial/banking domain is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
