Salary: up to $110k (DOE)

Responsibilities:

  • Document Preparation – Draft, format, and proofread legal documents with precision under tight deadlines.
  • Court Filing & Litigation Support – Manage e-filings and service of pleadings across state, federal, and appellate courts.
  • Case & Client File Management – Open new matters, run conflict checks, and maintain organized digital and paper records.
  • Billing & Timekeeping – Enter attorney time, edit prebills, and finalize client invoices with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Calendar & Deadline Coordination – Schedule hearings, depositions, and meetings while tracking critical litigation dates.
  • Attorney Support & Workflow Management – Prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Client Interaction & Service – Handle calls, respond promptly to client needs, and foster strong professional relationships.
  • Administrative & Operational Tasks – Coordinate travel, process expenses, and manage mail and email routing.
  • Meeting & Event Coordination – Organize logistics for remote and in-person legal proceedings and team meetings.
  • Document Filing & Organization – Scan, copy, and file documents; create trial binders and maintain email archives.
  • Strategic Contribution & Initiative – Anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and align with firm goals.
  • Team Collaboration & Support – Assist colleagues, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent;
  • College degree a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of legal secretarial experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting a billing attorney.
