Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineer plans, designs, arranges, changes, and optimizes shop manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, evaluates, improves, and documents manufacturing processes
  • Develops and implements process control procedures
  • Directs improvements to facilities and processes
  • Analyzes manufacturing process flows continually to improve quality, cost reduction, and throughput
  • Works with configuration control and design engineering on product tooling and design
  • Consults with vendors about product specifications, arranging equipment, purchasing parts and material, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications
  • Works closely with the manufacturing department to develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees
  • Designs and develops manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, new products, and related fixtures and tooling consistent with zero defect level and low product cost
  • Documents tool drawings, design concepts, shop orders, and concepts
  • Helps Production with troubleshooting and resolving technical problems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or similar field
  • Engineering Internship/Co-Op experience preferred
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and Lean concepts
  • Ability to learn new technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Team-oriented and collaborative

Salary

Salary range: $70,000.00-$90,000.00
