Position

Store Manager

Responsibilities

  • Recruiting your team
  • Training and developing your management team
  • Training and developing your team on brand, product, and service

You oversee all aspects of the retail business, including budgets and sales targets, while fostering a strong customer experience, staff experience, and operational excellence. You will continually assess performance and seek growth opportunities.

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Collaborate with your team to exceed daily sales goals and create an inclusive customer experience
  • Educate customers and staff on brand values and communicate our stance on fighting animal testing, freshness, ethical buying, 100% vegetarian, handmade, and naked packaging
  • Increase product knowledge and provide informed recommendations
  • Develop and execute business plans that align with the American business strategy to achieve KPIs and sales goals

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop your team with development plans and ongoing feedback
  • Commit to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) through training and collaborative solutions
  • Engage and manage performance with fair, empathetic approaches
  • Recruit and select with transparency and equity to support staff growth

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure policy compliance, training, and adherence to time/attendance, breaks, safety, and respectful workplace guidelines
  • Oversee stock and inventory, ordering, and waste management within budget
  • Create and execute merchandising plans to improve KPIs and maintain a clean, engaging store
  • Schedule staff to meet peak times while staying within labor budgets

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3-5 years managing in a retail environment
  • Strong HR skills in hiring, scheduling, training, conflict resolution, and performance management
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Strong customer service, supervisory, and sales skills
  • Knowledge and interest in skincare, natural beauty, and ethical business
  • Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, evenings, and weekends

Preferred:

  • Experience with consultation-based customer service
  • Ability to develop and train staff through positive coaching and feedback
  • History of developing retail staff careers
  • Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, and adaptability to other systems
  • Experience in cross-cultural collaboration and DEIB or social justice training
  • Fluency in Spanish, French, or other languages

Compensation

North Star Pay: $58,900 USD
