Job Description:

The firm is looking to add a Sr. IT Specialist to the team responsible for IT helpdesk support. This role is responsible for performing the diagnosis of IT issues, prioritization, and troubleshooting of IT and cybersecurity issues. Additionally, this role is responsible for setting up new computer hardware, GoTo phones set up and support. This role also reviews broker-dealer reporting, leads and assists with IT projects, and vendor management reviews. This is an 8am - 5pm onsite role in Minneapolis, this role does require some travel to advisor offices in the greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area and occasional travel to advisor offices in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. There is some flexibility to allow for some remote work days; however, due to the nature of IT, specific remote work days are not guaranteed. Additionally, this role requires flexibility to address IT issues outside of regular business hours (for example, network equipment installations, cybersecurity issues, etc.). Given the small size of the firm this role offers a unique opportunity to influence policies, procedures, and enhancements to the IT department. Responsibilities: Advanced Technical Support:

Provide expert troubleshooting and resolution for complex hardware, software, network, and system issues. Support end users via phone, email, teams messaging, and remote tools, ensuring a positive service client experience. Ticket Management:

Document, track, and monitor service requests using ticketing systems. Prioritize and escalate issues as needed, ensuring timely resolution. System Administration:

Manage user accounts, permissions, and resources in Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other enterprise systems. Perform onboarding/offboarding tasks and routine maintenance on IT equipment. IT Projects:

Lead and collaborate on IT projects, including hardware/software deployments, upgrades, and cybersecurity initiatives. Work with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders to implement solutions. Continuous Improvement:

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance IT processes, system reliability, and user satisfaction. Stay current with industry trends and best practices. After-Hours Support:

Participate in after-hours support rotation and respond to urgent IT issues outside regular business hours as needed. Technical Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking fundamentals, and operating systems (Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, Fortinet). Experience with troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, and networks. Communication:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and maintain clear documentation. Customer Service:

Strong customer-oriented approach, empathy, and professionalism in handling user requests and complaints, the ability to form strong relationships with internal and external business partners and clients. Organizational Skills:

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and service tickets. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Security Awareness:

Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, data security, and confidentiality standards. Preferred Education/Experience/Skills: 5+ years of experience in IT help desk or technical support roles. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications preferred. Note: We encourage you to apply if you can demonstrate many of these skills and competencies.
