Overview
A Technician is responsible for the set up and operation of basic / small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This position reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director or Director, Event Technology. Responsibilities
Equipment Operation: Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section. Customer Service: Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers; maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication; meet with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment is working properly; monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day; understand and foster the hotel/client relationship. Technical Ability: Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues; handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner. Systems Knowledge: Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately; use equipment sheets to determine equipment scheduled for setup and strike; interact with staff and outside vendors for equipment; utilize floor up-selling techniques and work with clients to finalize invoices; complete order entries in Navigator as needed. High School Diploma required. Associate’s degree is preferred. Hourly Pay Range: $18.11 - $22.18. Final compensation is based on location, travel, experience, and skills; some roles may be eligible for overtime, bonuses or incentives.
