California Department of Justice The Research Data Analyst (RDA) I collects, analyzes, and develops statistical reports and information which provides valid measures of crime and the criminal justice process in California as required by the Penal Code section 13010. The RDA I performs a wide range of data quality and other data integrity related tasks. The RDA I provides data management and maintenance support for one or more of the following data sets: Monthly Arrest and Citation Register, Crimes and Clearances, Juvenile Courts and Probation Statistical System, Senate Bill 54 data collection, HATE crimes and the National Incident Based Reporting System. The RDA I also participates in various activities to develop, implement, maintain, and enhance database protocols related to the above-mentioned data sets. Additionally, the RDA I may perform statistical analyses using the appropriate methodology; interpret, summarize, and clearly/concisely communicate data quality findings; and develop materials to include in mandated publications.
