Overview

Infrastructure Systems Administrator We are seeking an Infrastructure Systems Administrator to support and maintain our core IT infrastructure. This role focuses on the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of systems including Pure Storage SAN, VMware, Veeam, and Exagrid, ensuring high availability and performance across our enterprise environment. Responsibilities

Infrastructure Support & Administration: Monitor and maintain VMware virtual environments, including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Storage Administration: Perform daily administration of Pure Storage SAN, ensuring optimal performance and capacity utilization. Backup & Recovery: Manage and support Veeam backup and recovery operations, including job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Exagrid Administration: Administer Exagrid backup appliances, ensuring data integrity and efficient storage utilization. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination: Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to maintain network products and services. Security & Patching: Apply patches, updates, and security remediation to servers and infrastructure devices as needed. Windows Server Administration: Assist in maintaining Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy. Backup & Recovery Exercises: Perform routine system backups and recovery testing. Issue Resolution: Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve issues with storage devices, storage access, and data retrieval. Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and generate reports on health and utilization. Documentation: Create and maintain clear documentation regarding all system configurations. Operational Tasks

Server & Data Center Management: Manage servers and related data center technology, including backup systems, and their associated operating systems and software. Ticket & Request Handling: Respond to infrastructure-related support tickets and service requests. Documentation Maintenance: Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Projects & Upgrades: Collaborate with senior IT staff on infrastructure projects and upgrades. User Access: Assist with user account management and access control. Disaster Recovery: Participate in disaster recovery testing and documentation updates. Backups & Recovery: Configure and perform system backups and recovery. Monitoring Support: Support infrastructure monitoring tools and respond to alerts. End-User Support: Provide technical support and guidance to users and other IT staff. Automation: Development of shell scripting for system administration. Other duties: as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field of study, with 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support or systems administration. Certifications: Microsoft MCSE/MCSA, VMware VCP. Strong understanding of storage architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices. Familiarity with Veeam, Pure Storage and Exagrid technologies. Experience administering VMware and Windows Server environments (Active Directory, Group Policy). Experience with Linux-based systems and Azure-based systems. Experience with Active Directory administration and Active Directory Federated Services. Technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards; strong troubleshooting skills. Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work independently and in a team. Ability to create and maintain standard operating procedures and document system processes.
