The IT Infrastructure Systems Administrator supports and maintains Nouria's core IT infrastructure. This role focuses on the day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of systems including Pure Storage SAN, VMware, Veeam, and Exagrid, ensuring high availability and performance across our enterprise environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Infrastructure Support & Administration Monitor and maintain VMware virtual environments, including provisioning, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Perform daily administration of Pure Storage SAN, ensuring optimal performance and capacity utilization. Manage and support Veeam backup and recovery operations, including job scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Administer Exagrid backup appliances, ensuring data integrity and efficient storage utilization. Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to maintain network products and services. Apply patches, updates, and security remediation to servers and infrastructure devices as needed. Assist in maintaining Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy. Perform routine system backups and recovery testing. Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond to, and resolve issues with storage devices, storage access, and data retrieval. Monitor system performance and generate reports on health and utilization. Create and maintain clear documentation regarding all system configurations. Operational Tasks
Manage servers and related data center technology, including backup systems, and their associated operating systems and software. Respond to infrastructure-related support tickets and service requests. Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps. Collaborate with senior IT staff on infrastructure projects and upgrades. Assist with user account management and access control. Participate in disaster recovery testing and documentation updates. Configure and perform system backups and recovery Support infrastructure monitoring tools and respond to alerts. Provide technical support and guidance to users and other IT staff Development of shell scripting for system administration Other duties, as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field of study, with 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support or systems administration required. Following certifications required: Microsoft MCSE/MCSA, VMWare VCP Strong understanding of storage architecture design techniques, theories, principles, and practices. Strong familiarity with Veeam, Pure Storage and Exagrid technologies. Working experience administering VMWare Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory administration, Familiarity with administering Linux based systems Familiarity with Azure based systems. Experience with the administration of Windows Server, Active Directory and Active Directory Federated Services Strong PowerShell scripting skills Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards and ability to troubleshoot Strong problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven ability to create and maintain standard operating procedures and documenting system processes
