Senior Billing / Accounts Receivable Accountant: on-site in Alexandria, VA (contract)
Job Title: Senior Billing / Accounts Receivable Accountant
This role will require the candidate to work four days on site and one day remotely.
M-Th: In the office
Fri: Remote
The office is in Alexandria, VA and three minutes from a Metro stop
Key Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support for record-to-report management activities and finance operations.
Manage customer billing and receivables processes, including customer balance oversight and grants prepaid billing.
Align capital funding and support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements.
Assist with audit responses and sub-ledger accounting.
Contribute to period-end close activities and grants accounting functions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in billing, receivables, or financial operations.
At least 2 years of experience at a Senior Accounting, Analyst, or Auditor level.
Experience working with financial institutions, public/private sectors, or government entities (Federal, State, or Local).
CPA or CIA certification is preferred.
Experience working with PeopleSoft Finance is preferred.
